"I gained a lot of new knowledge as well as confidence that we, UHY Grow, are moving in the right direction," says Ulvi.

The main outcome of the visit is that UHY Grow will start to switch to a paperless office. "This is mainly thanks to Peter Bond, who shared his practical knowledge on how to carry out this process smoothly," says Ulvi. "In addition, he highlighted problems that we can already avoid in our everyday work.

"When changing over to a paperless office the main factor is to introduce safe storage of files so that it is easy to find them later. The second important factor is using several screens. On the first day [of the visit] I already realised that this kind of system would allow us to work a lot more effectively.

"I already have two screens on my desk and soon it will be like this on others' desks too!"

Ulvi was also introduced to how UHY LDMB Advisors conducts financial analyses, and what kind of tools it uses for business valuation and cash flow statements.

Thanking UHY director Darren Millard, partner at UHY LDMB, for the opportunity, Ulvi says she would like to see other firms in the network cooperating in this way because it can be mutually beneficial.
